Tom Beutels from Belgium is the happy winner of our lottery for all early entry athletes. All athletes who did make their registration for Powerman Zofingen until 31th of December has participated.  Tom won a "Compex muscle stimulator". At the first meeting of the Powerman organization committee in this year, the head of marketing Martin Ryser and the head of logistic  Gesa Gaiser determinedhis name. All present members were witnesses of it. At 31th of December we had 225 signed in athletes at Powerman Zofingen already.

2012 Powerman World Series - a new Powerman duathlon race

Windjammer Sports are proud to announce an agreement with the International Powerman Association (IPA) to create and present a new Powerman duathlon race as part of the prestigious 2012 Powerman World Series. The race will be held on Saturday 5th May on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.

Rob Woestenborghs (BEL) took the lead from the beginning followed closely by Andy Sutz (SUI)

After two rainy days, race morning started bright and sunny with the temperature rising to a high of 34 degree Celsius in the hottest Powerman race of the year. This year Rob Woestenborghs (BEL) took the lead from the beginning followed closely by both Andy Sutz (SUI) and Joerie Vansteelant (BEL). It is the first time Rob has won Powerman Malaysia with a time of 2:40:15 with a lead of just under one minute over Andy and a little over three minutes over Joerie.

Top duathletes will vie for the top PowerMan and PowerWoman titles in hot and humid Powerman Malaysia for its 10th edition come this 13th November 2011 in Seri Manjung, Perak, Malaysia. This year's Powerman Zofingen winners Melanie Burke and Joerie Vansteelant will also participate.

Michelle Parsons, professional duathlete from the United Kingdom, and defending Powerman Muncie ladies Champion and the Professional men's race will be lead by Ryan Giuliano, the 2011 USA Triathlon Elite Long Course Duathlon National Champion from Powerman Alabama.

23. Powerman Duathlon World Championships Zofingen

The winners of the 23rd Powerman Zofingen are Melanie Burke from New Zealand and Joerie Vansteelant from Belgium. The star of the weekend is Vansteelant, who won in Zofingen, where after a break of twelve years the Powerman was held as ITU (International Triathlon Union) Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championships. The 29-year-old Belgium improved his own track record from 2009 by 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Talking about the Swiss performence: Best was Andy Sutz in 3rd place. At the Powerman Zofingen 2011 there were over all 1‘300 athletes taking part over the whole weekend. This is the best result since the year 2000.
