Powerman Zofingen 2012
More than 1‘500 participants are expected by the organisers ofthe 24th Powerman inZofingen. Hurry up to register! Late registration for 1st and 2nd September is still possible. You do best an online registration on www.powerman.ch. The youngest girl and boy duathletes, the so-called “PowerPfüderis“ (age group 2007 and younger) do not have to register at all to make their first contact with the PowermanZofingen event.
On 1st September parents may just accompany their kidsto Zofingen. They can start for the 60 meters running course at 2.10 pm. Between 1.30 and 2.40 pm the “PowerKids” aged 6 to 13 will start for a 0.55 or 0.75 k run, then for 1.1 or 1.5 k biking and to finish with again 0.3 k running. PowerKids can still register for a fee of SFr 25 (including the additional fee of SFr 5 for late registration) until 30th August on www.powerman.ch or against cash payment in “StadtbüroZofingen”.
A special offer you get in the Perry Center Oftringen. There you cansign in at the information point until 29th August WITHOUT having to pay an additional fee for late registration! After this date PowerKids can only be registered on 1st September from 12 o’clock until 30 minutes before the relevant start time of their category. They have to show up in the Powerman arena behind the public school to do so.Please be 30 minutes before starting time in the Powerman arena – this is important for the hand-over of bikes and the warming up. All participants have to bring their own helmet and bike!
Short Distance Duathlon
The earlier you registered the more favourable it was. Until 29th August you can still do the online registration on www.powerman.ch for this short distance course (10 k running, 50 k biking, 5 k running). The published fees do already include the late registration additional charge. All categories are set up like this, the adult’s, the junior’s within years of birthday between 1993 until 1998 as well as the relay (three or two members, mixed or women or men groups). All categories go for the same course. After 29th August a registration is only possible in the foyer of the “Stadtsaal” - until 60 minutes before the start! The start time for the short distance duathlon: 9.45 am for the women’s relay, 9.50 am for the men’s relay, 9.45 am for the women’s single race and 9.50 am for the men’s single race.
Long Distance Duathlon
The earlier you registered the more favourable it was. After the 1st August, the official closing date, it is not possible anymore to register yourself for the origin “2012 Zofingen ITU Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championships”. There are two exceptions: your National Federation wants to register you or you have signed up for the Age Groups already and your National Federation changes this into a registration for the ITU World Championship. Within the Age Groups an online registration for the long distance (10 k running, 150 k biking, 30 k running) is still possible until 29th August. The published fees do already include the late registration additional charge.After 29thAugust a registration is only possible in the foyer of the “Stadtsaal” - until 60 minutes before the start!
The same set up is valide for the relays (three or two members, mixed or women or men groups), who accomplish as a team the same course as the single athletes. The category “mixed” is a team with at least one female athlete. Start times: 8 am for the women’s single race, 9 am for the men’s single race and 9.35 am for the relays.
The handover of the numbers for short and long distance is at the entrée (foyer) of the Stadtsaal. They can be picked up on 31st August between 12 and 14 o’clock and on 1st September from 9 am to 6 pm as well as on 2nd September from 6 am to 9 am.
Powerman CHARITY
This course is for a good thing and the participants run or bike for fun without a ranking list at the end. About a dozen celebrities as Rahel Frey, Esther Süss, Evelyne Leu, Donghua Li, Mike Kurt, UrsDellsperger, Christian Wenk, Stephan Meier, Carlos Lima, Mathias Frank, Benvenuto Savoldelli, SandroB urki as well as additional FC Aarau cracks will show up for the Charity race.
With the start fee of SFr 50 the PLUSPORT Disability Sports Switzerland will be supported. Your support by a donation of SFr 50 is welcome as well.

A special offer you get in the Perry CenterOftringen. There you can easily sign in at the information point until 29th August. On1st September a registration is possible at the entrée of the VIP tent (Expo behind public school in Zofingen). Please register before 10.30 am. The fee is due with the registration (cash). At 11 am on 1st September in front of “Rosengarten gym” the bike course will be started and at 11.30 in “Powerman arena” the running distance will be opened. The arrival for all athletes will be the “Powerman arena”, there, were on the previous day the world champions have received their applause and award. If you choose the bike course we ask you to take your own bike with you!
