New communication service at Powerman Zofingen

The 2012 ITU Powerman Zofingen Long Distance Duathlon World Championships organizer are using new means of digital communication. Many news items during September 1 and 2 can be directly accessed via WLAN on your Smartphone.

Powerman Zofingen is providing this year digital fan-communication to the audience, the athletes and to the sponsors. There will be about 500 Duathletes from over 30 countries and from all continents who are participating in the race that consists of 10km running, 150km biking and again 30km running. There will also be the short distance race (10km running, 50km biking, 10km running), the relay race or Powerman CHARITY (do a good deed and run 5km or bike 10, 20 or 30km together with many Swiss celebrities). The youngest Duathlon-generation is participating in the PowerKids race.

The state of the art Fantainment™-System provides you with all actual results and much more interesting live information directly to your Smartphone. Events such as Powerman Zofingen are trying to give athletes, spectators and sponsors a lot of interesting information around the event but it is often hard to reach all interested parties. Thanks to the state of the art WLAN Fantainment™, provided by Loop21, every Smpartphone becomes immediate an information platform and enables a direct communication between organizer and spectator.

Then there is the live results overview. The information system also contains news which is constantly updated, a kids section, free access to the Powerman Zofingen Facebook page and also an overview of the sponsors.

The Loop21 team is temporarily responsible for the WLAN installation in the Powerman arena. The Loop21 WLAN Entertainer® software will be slightly modified especially to Powerman Zofingen’s needs.
