Camilla Lindholm: How are you at the moment?
Camilla Lindholm: At the moment I’m fine. I’m recovering from the Challenge Copenhagen which took place last weekend.

Is the Powerman Zofingen your favourite race?
Powerman Zofingen has a special place in my heart. Last year I startes for the first time in Zofingen and I did expect a hard and demanding race course. But I didn’t expect it to be so hard. There were hills everythere and I suffered really bad from the downhills on the running. My legs were so sore. Coming from pancake flat Malmö in Sweden didn’t help at all! As soon as I finished I felt that I had to come back to do another try to beat the beast. I really loved the beautiful nature, the helpful and friendly race organization and I had the opportunity to stay in a wounderful family that supported me like a queen. So yes Zofingen is one of my favourite races so far!

You've won the Powerman Holland and you are European Champion. Was that a
surprise for you?

I had a bad start this year with terrible cold weather and a bad cold for two weeks. But then I went to Mallorca for a training camp and I felt stronger than ever before and at the end of the camp I felt that it all could go my way. The race ended up just as I wanted it and I could have gone faster if I was forced to do so.

Are you satisfied with the season so long?
I’ve had my ups and downs with a bad throat infection and a sore calf muscle. But I still think my form is good. I started the season with a bang in Holland. After that I actually was in better form before I was hit by a throat infection just days before a half ironman in Germany so I suffered quite bad in that race. In July I was supposed to race Ironman Zurich but once again I had some trouble so the race was cancelled. Last weekend I was third in Challenge Copenhagen over the Ironman distance and I was happy with that. Besides that I have also participated in some local running events in my own country. I like running short distance competitions to maintain and build up speed.

You're leading in the Women's Powerman-Worldranking. What does this mean
to you?

It is always nice to be in a leading position, it gives me confidence and motivation.

Is it a goal to keep this first place till the end of the season?
That is a goal yes, but I dont think of it in a daily basis. I need to stay focused on what I have to do in each race rather than the results of it.

You're leading in front of Erika Csomor. Have you beaten her already in a race?
No, I haven’t been able to beat her in a race this year. I know Erika as a very strong and dedicated athlete and this year she has shown a remarkable form. But of course I will do all I can on race day and will prepare to be at my very best.

What are your goals for the Powerman Zofingen this year?
It’s gone be my second try in Zofingen. I know now what expects me and I think that is an advantage for me. First of all I want to have a good race with a good feeling. But I also want to improve my result from last year. I do feel stronger on both disciplinces this year so I am a bit excited. I have only three weeks to prepare and to recover from the Challenge Copenhagen but I hope that this will be enough.
